Zikun Quan
Zikun is currently pursing his PhD in the department of Computer Science, UCL Interaction Center (UCLIC) and is affiliated with the Disability Innovation Hub. He is also a member of the HUB of Intelligent Neuro-engineering (HUBIN) within the Division of Surgery and Interventional Science, UCL. His PhD study is being supervised by Dr. Youngjun Cho, Dr. Hubin Zhao, and Prof. Tom Carlson. Zikun's research interest lies on BCI and AI empowered neuro-steered hearing aid devices for people with sensorineural hearing loss in complex and noisy environments. Prior to his PhD, Zikun worked as a design system analyst in Foster & Partners (London), Applied Research and Development team, focusing on VR/AR/XR, mobile robot and computational tools related research and development works. He earned his MSc in Architectural Computation from UCL with high distinction, receiving both the Golden Medal and the Alistair Turner Dissertation Prize. He holds a B.Eng in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, and Automation from Shandong University in China.
